Disability Access for Sandhole B & B

We have 16 guest bedrooms of which 8 are on the ground floor with only a small step. One ground floor room (Room 1) is suitable for partially-disabled people and has a walk-in-shower. There are hand rails installed in the bathroom and lever taps on the wash basin. There is a ramp for the step into the room, if required, making it accessible with a wheelchair.

There are two steps at the door to the Breakfast Room and two more inside the Breakfast Room – we have wheelchair ramps for both which can be put in place if we’re given sufficient warning.

There are fire alarms in all rooms (with a flashing beacon in Room 1), and telephones with large numbers in two of the ground floor rooms.

There is a sign indicating the Reception and it is well lit at night. The Reception has a number of steps leading up to the front door, so if you will be arriving unaccompanied and will require assistance, please tell us beforehand so we can ensure that there is someone available to help during Opening hours. Opening hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m (or 4:00 pm on Sat/Sun), but if guests want to arrive later arrangements can potentially be made.

There is a public lounge on the ground floor, which is easily accessible. Walking facilities are available for guide dogs and dog bowls can be provided.

We try where possible to provide facilities for partially disabled guests, but where buildings have been converted to accommodation over the years it isn’t always possible to provide all facilities.

We welcome your feedback to help us continuously improve, so if you have any comments please phone us 01260 224419 or email. bedrooms@sandholefarm.co.uk
